Learn to Dive with a PADI Open Water
To get the most out of
your Scuba Diving you will want to become a fully
certified diver. This means that you will have a
certification card that says that you have completed an
instructional course in scuba diving. You will be able
to go anywhere in the world and scuba dive.

The PADI Open Water
Diver course is the most popular training option in the
world. The Aquatic Center's course has developed into one of
the best dive programs offered in the northeast, while maintaining
the foundation provided by the PADI system of diver
training. This certification level will allow you to dive
with a buddy to a depth of 60 feet. If the Open Water course

What prerequisite's are there to
learn to dive?
Virtually anyone in good
health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can
learn to scuba dive and earn a PADI certification. You will
be required to complete a short medical form and complete a
basic swim test.
What will I need to learn to scuba
We will provide
everything you need for the class and pool sessions. We
highly recommend that you invest in your own mask, fins and
snorkel at this time, but will provide them if needed.
How long will it take to become a
certified Open Water Diver?
Our course consists of 8
hours of classroom learning and 8 hours of pool time over 4
students are very comfortable and ready for their open water
dives at this point. Additional training time is made
available as necessary. We offer several other training
